The Cheltenham Festival is finally here! This season I think I’ve done most of my talking about my selections on The Jumps Show, so I will mainly just be giving you brief summaries as reasoning. I will also state any Ante-Post bets that I have already put up, with advice on what to back on the day. If you’ve backed any of my selections Ante-Post, I’m not suggesting to go in again unless stated otherwise. Any questions then just let me know!
Supreme
Thoughts now: With the soft ground very much in his favour, I am going to have a small Each/Way play on Doctor Bravo at a big price – I think he could be a very smart Horse and at least hit the frame in a very open race. Other than that though I really dislike this Supreme to be honest – there’s nothing that really excites me. It’s a shame Inthepocket runs here, but I can’t see how he can reverse form with Il Etait Temps, so he would be a tentative pick of those towards the top of the market. I’d even give Tahmuras a bit of a chance if the rain keeps falling too, as he will love conditions.

Thoughts now: I’m sticking with Dysart Dynamo here, and think he will very much be suited by the soft ground, track and trip. He looks a nice price still at 5/1 if you’re yet to get involved.

Thoughts now: I still like my two Ante-Post selections. The ground has probably gone against Threeunderthrufive somewhat, but he’s a massive price now at 18/1 and still has a chance. Last year’s winner Corach Rambler is very short in the betting, but I’m going to cover him off as he clearly has a strong chance, and I’d be gutted to see him win with nothing on. I will be topping up Into Overdrive Each/Way though, as obviously the Ante-Post selection was win only and I think he has a belting chance.

Thoughts now: I still think Tekao is the most likely winner, but Jazzy Matty has a really nice chance considering the soft ground, Michael O’Sullivan’s 3lbs claim, first time cheek-pieces, plus a first time tongue-tie applied (the full monty!). I am suggesting to top him up each/way as obviously the Ante-Post selection was win only. Byker is most feared of the remainder, and like in the Ultima, I personally will cover him off.

Thoughts now: I wish I had put up Mahler Mission EW to be honest. He has a good chance, but Gaillard Du Mesnil will take some stopping so I’m happy to not have any further bets. I have personally also covered off Minella Crooner Each/Way, but he’s too short to be putting up now.
